Fun at the Marshalltown, IA go-kart track

We went out for fun-filled day with the Iowa Region of the SCCA on a go-kart track of all places. Of course, the weather was crappy, and it started to rain midway through our third run, but altogether, it was the most fun I've ever had with my car. You can click on the little pics to see a larger one.

Here we are in the pit area. You can fit quite a bit of stuff in a Neon if you really try. All of that was in the trunk, with room to spare.

Incidentally, the person standing by the driver's door trying to get in is me. My fiancee was inside with the heater running. And the guy in front of the car is Ryan Tucker, holding the blanket that, he later informed us, his cat had, shall we say, annointed.

Here I am lined up in the staging area. Mental note: I need to get my own helmet, one that fits!
Could it be? Did I actually make it up on three wheels? On street tires no less?

I can't really tell, but I'm told I did.

Here I am coming around the corner befor the straightaway in the picture above.

In the passenger seat is my fiancee. This was her first time at a Solo II event and I don't know which squealed more, her or my tires.

Wheeeeeeee!!!!!
This picture still makes me nervous.....
Okay, I know the flagger isn't holding the checkered flag, but I don't have a picture of myself crossing the finish line, so let's just pretend, shall we?
